He recorded it (apparently) just before his vocal cords conked out on him and if you look at the rest of his blog, over the last few months he seems to have turned into some kind of dustbowl exploring texmex stetson-wearing 'traveller'.

So, hardly 'back' is he? I don't mean to be deliberately harsh, but the headline is a little misleading.

He is back with new music...

But I get your point.

Apperantly he was at Village Underground two days ago playing some guitar, no video yet, only photo. So I could also say that he is back from his trip.

But what do you think about the music?

It seems to me that he is playing a Telecaster in the song, do you agree? Or maybe his new Rosewood Stratocaster, I go with this one.

Perhaps it's his Valley Arts Brent Mason signature? Sounds very standard pop-Mayer.
