Chad Kroeger

I was flipping channels last night and came across Nickelback on Jimmy Kimmel live. Man, I didn't even recognize Kroeger. Looks like he's put on 20-25 pounds.

He may have put on a few pounds, but he not nearly as bloated as the bland corporate rock he's cranking out, though.

Don't worry, he is gigging a LOT more than any of us ever will. Oh, he is talented/adept enough that he can support a family on it too.

Right, we're all jealous.

Everything we don't like it's because we're jealous.

Wonder if PRS paid them to stop playing their guitars...

Also, I noticed there was no logo on any of their guitars. Conspiracy?

They use those mics during the bridge of "Follow you Home". Gives kinda of an "am radio" effect.

So I wiki'd the band...if this isn't justification as to why you should all love them, I don't know what is...

"Also various fellow musicians like Chris Martin of Coldplay[40] as well as R&B singer Timbaland[41] support the band."

Every 5-10 years, there's a rock act that becomes very popular that most musicians and critics hate. Seems like a cycle. The one that was the most popular and the most reviled was Creed.

And I don't mind admitting that I like Creed a helluva lot more that those guys! At least they did it 10-15 years earlier and ended up having a lot of imitators. I listen to some of those early Creed tunes and go "that's not bad". I don't think that will ever happen with N'back. Those tunes will suck forever......

Creed was pretty bad. There was a long of popular rock that was awful during that time. I agree though...Nickelback is worse.
