JH Audio JH16 PRO....Is there anything BETTER?
im about to order myself a set of jh 16's from jh audio. before i spend this kind of cash i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations as far as alternatives. Besides the obvious Ultimate Ears products which are very comparable, are there any other manufactures that make high end ear monitors? Something that is better than JH or UE?
if price was not an issue...whats the absolute best out there? what do the pros use? im using these for a live setting. full band mix. im a lead vocalist and also lead and rhythm guitar. i was the guitar to sound as good as possible. |

Do some research and review reading on Westone ES5. Amazing.

I'd have Westone ES5's over JH16. Also check the Sensaphonic 3D ambient. Good guitar tone in IEM's comes from the right mic position and EQ - not the IEM's.

im actually running a Fractal Audio Axe FX II direct for my guitar rig, so no cab mic needed.
i would think that a DIRECT sound should be fairly accurate in the ears with a good set of IEM's that definitely wasnt the case with some lower end IEM's i ended up ordering the jh16's the other day, I hope theyre worth it... |

When I read the subject of this thread, I think of another JH-16. I'm guess I'm showing my years.
