Good Prince Guitar Albums?

So, I was never really into Prince...but then a friend gave me a few mp3s with a few live performances from different albums, and I was like "who is that on guitar?" And my buddy said, "That's Prince. All 5'3" of him." And then I checked out some live youtube clips...he's unreal.

So, for a guy who wants to listen to Prince wail on guitar, is there an album to start with?

Better find some live tracks as he rarely lets loose on record. Great player, but rarely shows it on record.

The Undertaker album is hard to find, but has a fair amount of guitar on it.

You might seek out some individual tracks:

Peach has a great riff as does a song called The Ride.
Purple Rain and Question of U both have killer solos.
I Could Never Take the Place of Your Mine (track down the My Morning Jacket cover of it as well)
Let's Go Crazy

But as others have said, seek out some live stuff. I saw him play an after party in a small club once, and he just wailed, and wailed, and wailed. It was pretty amazing.

That is all guitar! Recorded as a power trio in one night.

I'll add to the chorus saying get hold of some live recordings, especially aftershows. There are a lot of high quality ones floating around out there....

Right on, I'll try to track down Undertaker, and the boxed set. As far as finding after-hours bootlegs...I know how to do this for Phish and the Dead (I guess anybody could figure that out)...but does anyone want to give me a friendly nudge in the right direction? PM me and I'll send you my e-mail address, if you'd like.
