Michael Lewis Christmas Jazz Tune #3 Glaswerks SOD II

Hello Again,

Another song from my instrumental jazz Christmas jazz project "A Very Cool Christmas," available on iTunes, Amazon etc... Songs from this project were once again featured on the "No-Idle-Frets" jazz guitar podcast this week at http://www.noidlefrets.com

Listen in a pop window here (this helps my stats) http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_11161163 or listen to the embedded version below.

The bass and drums were the original parts cut back in 2000 with session greats; Brian Fullen on drums and Chris Kent on bass (see my posts on his passing in October 2011) who toured with Larry Carlton for several years.

The nylon string guitar was a Taylor NS74. The electric was one of my MLG Pro 35 semi-hollow body guitars with some of the piezo acoustic blended in with the electric pickups right into the amp.

The amplifier used was a Glaswerks SOD II into a Fuchs 212 cab loaded with an EV12L and a Celestion Gold. The gold was miced with a nice tube mic and another tube mic was placed about 6 feet back. A third track was recorded with the amp output going into a Palmer direct interface -- that gave me a track with more of the acoustic-piezo pickup coming through. You can hear that bright acoustic tone coming through over the top of the warm tone of the magnetic pickups.
