'65 AC30 Transformers
Can anyone tell me what transformers are in this amp:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/c-1965-Vox-A...ht_2831wt_1344 Looking for a vintage AC30 w/ original blues. Just wondering if the transformers are original as he says as I've never seen ones stamped with that little bulls head or whatever it is. Thank you for any help. |

Vox 65 transformers
I just sold an original 65 AC30 with Woden and Parmeko transformers. Albion is another brand used by Vox in those years. Other than those 3 names, I'd be careful.

The PT is undoubtly an Albion, the other one has that strange drawing but I'd guess it's an Albion too. Looks legit to me but I'm no expert.

Wodens had a "Woden" stamp on them. Parmekos had "Parmeko" labels on them. Like mAx said, the PT is an Albion for sure. FYI, the voltage selector is gone (probably wired around it) and I'm not sure about the speakers-an in panel top boost usually would have had the later grey speakers, not blues. With that being said, they are vintage blues.

I am pretty sure that these are original Albions. The bull head looks like it has been drawn on the transformer
