Exclamation How do I wire active pickups straight to output on my bass?

I wanna bypass everything if possible. I need to know asap. Cuz I got a show in like a couple hrs. And will it mess anything up?

Actives have a very low output and they are always paired with some sort of preamp/booster because the signal is so low. Bypassing the preamp makes them useless.

not quite.

active pickups have their own preamp built in to the pickup housing. EMG is the main player here, with the occasional bartolini.

lots of active basses use passive pickups into a separate preamp; the pickups can be special lower-output types made just for a preamp, but they can also be normal-strength pickups, too.

changing things like this a couple hours before a show can indeed "mess things up", especially if you don't know what you're even looking for. what are you trying to accomplish here?

Late but, Murphy's Law is right next to the laws of physics as a driver of outcomes..... note the warning.
