Jazzy/Warm Tone Pickup For Telecaster

I'm looking for a set of Jazzy/Warm pickups for my Highway 1 Telecaster. Any recommendations?

Go with a P90 or Chuck Xtian in the neck position.

Chris Klein used to make a Tele Jazz set that are extremely warm and "jazzY". I have them in one of my Tele's and LOVE them. But, I think they are out of production? You could call Chris and talk to him about them. I highly recommend these and/or any of the Klein Tele pickups. The Klein Fatman pups are also warm, but can get aggressive.

Lollar Charlie Christian in the neck position

I just put a Charlie Christian in my tele project.

Having said that, I think the stock neck pickup in the Highway One is just exceptionally un-warm and un-jazzy. I know two gigging guitarists that play teles and one is completely stock American from maybe 1975 or so and he plays through a Princeton. Jazz tones for days.

Put a low wind Lollar Imperial Humbucker at the neck and never look back.

We have a winner! I know guitar owners that are still wondering what that other knob is for!

Duncan alnico 2 is a warm clear pickup. HB s are jazzy and full but you're replacing a pick guard. Not a huge deal but it might matter to you.
