when I did a couple of "Rockys" I ran into that issue.... the original has Fluorescent colors... but George didn't clear coat ;em.. so... -

Sometimes all it may really need is a spritz of contact cleaner and flicking the switch a bunch of times.

Fluorescent colors rely on a chemical added to the paint that fluoresces in UV light .. clear coating it goes a long way toward...

Shim it with a proper neck shim from Stew Mac and there are no downsides. The DIY shims like business cards and credit cards can cause...
