    New Neunaber Pedal

Would love something not built around the Spin FV-1. A well featured delay would be great.

Chase Bliss Audio now doing the Blue Knob Mod on the Spectre: no more noise!

There's nothing to correct. The original Spectre works just fine. There's a new version, Joel is being kind enough to offer you an upgrade to the new version for a very low price-point, that it's his cost. How many other companies have you ever heard to offer that? The price to upgrade for any...

Chase Bliss Audio now doing the Blue Knob Mod on the Spectre: no more noise!

I have the old Spectre and I'm already GAS'ing for the new one, haha. Check out the quick video Joel posted of him getting some chorus tones out of it: I need that in my life.

Chase Bliss Audio now doing the Blue Knob Mod on the Spectre: no more noise!

There's an internal volume control, though. Have you tried adjusting that? The image I posted above shows which trimmer controls it.

Chase Bliss Audio now doing the Blue Knob Mod on the Spectre: no more noise!

Maybe you don't even need the mod since you don't mind the noise, there's an internal trimpot that controls the maximum amount of oscillation/regen. Increasing it by just a bit can make it self-oscillate extremely easy. I've been the the same shoes as you. Joel posted the reference picture below...

    Should I buy an Archer?

Just to give my two cents: I considered getting an Archer or another klone. Then I came across this comparison: That alone was enough to completely change my mind and get the Barbershop instead. Couldn't be happier. The Barbershop is possibly the best overdrive pedal I've ever heard in my...

Chase Bliss Audio now doing the Blue Knob Mod on the Spectre: no more noise!

Joel said if you want to keep the purple knobs you can, just include a message with the package. I understand what you say about the charm of the noise and the more 'uncontrollable' feedback', I really get it. I feel however that with the mod it will become much more versatile and usable in a...

Chase Bliss Audio now doing the Blue Knob Mod on the Spectre: no more noise!

I've seen a few people in the same situation saying the exact same thing. I really like the Spectre as is, since for recording I can find a way to make it work despite the noise. That being said, I'm really glad, the Spectre is such an awesome pedal and this mod will finally fix the one major...

Chase Bliss Audio now doing the Blue Knob Mod on the Spectre: no more noise!

It's really worth it, especially now. Joel mentioned on Facebook some Black Friday deal, so keep an eye out.

Chase Bliss Audio now doing the Blue Knob Mod on the Spectre: no more noise!

So, just in case you didn't catch this, Joel from Chase Bliss is now doing a Blue Knob Mod on the Spectre for $25 that substantially reduces the noise and now makes the regeneration easier to control. Apparently all Spectres from now on will also come with this mod. Since the noise was one...

Can you please, PLEASE, help me figure out my the reverb on my DRRI is so noisy?

Yeah, they are in-circuit readings. Didn't know that, sorry. Do you mean I have to desolder one end and lift it to measure it?

Can you please, PLEASE, help me figure out my the reverb on my DRRI is so noisy?

Hey pdf64, I opened up the chassis and tried to give a look at R29. Turns out both R29 and R30 are reading their correct value: 100kΩ and 820Ω, respectively, with a 10% or so variance. However, I did test R32 (which is supposedly 470kΩ) and it's reading at 190kΩ. I also tested R33 (which is...

Can you please, PLEASE, help me figure out my the reverb on my DRRI is so noisy?

Oh, I see. Thanks, I'll see if I can find one of these cables to test. Thanks.

Can you please, PLEASE, help me figure out my the reverb on my DRRI is so noisy?

Hey Jeff, how exactly would I be on doing that? The reverb tank output is a stereo RCA cable that can only connect to a RCA input for the Vibrato channel of the amp. I recorded a sample of the noise: https://clyp.it/y5sa3aco I start with the Reverb at 1 and quickly crank it up to 10. Then I...
