I agree with Bigfoamfinger. I have the Iridium and the OX. The Iridium is great and convenient but the Ox and my Deluxe Reverb sounds more open and has more “give”. The Iridium feels “tight” in comparison.
I’m a Strat guy but I love Teles too. I have to say I use my Nashville Tele a LOT! Has every sound I need - Tele Bridge, quack, Don Mare Stelly neck. With a push pull I get Neck/bridge. Just missing Trem
Tube preamp Class D power section but voiced like a big clean Fender. I know you were looking for a Tube amp but check it out...I think you'll like it! I do!
Milkman Sound - The Amp Combo with Reverb and Tremolo,
1x12, 50 watts @8 ohms, 100 watts with an 8 ohm extension speaker and only 22 LBS!!
Here’s my take
If you have some money to burn a Carr Mercury, Tone King Falcon to name a couple have great attenuators built in so you can dial your volume down to talking volume but still have a little push and amp “ Feel”. Even edge of breakup. There are so many amps that have Master volume/...
It does break up in a mild way but tends to lean towards the clean side of breakup. If you’re looking to push an amp to breakup this may not be the amp for you. However with the help of pedals The Amp does really well!
I love mine! Great Fender type clean although a little less sparkle. Plenty of headroom, reverb and trem. What more do you need. I have a Celestion Neo Creamback in a light pine cab. That’s the speaker Tim will be using in The Amp Combo. I’m definitely getting that as well 22 pounds! 100 watts...
