What happens if I disconnect my tone pot.

    Come on. Where's the commitment?

    Let's see the partscasters!

Most recent one. Going to build up a couple more pickguards for easy swapping eventually. Really happy with everything about the neck on this one.

80's hair metal sound - was it all JCM800 or other amps / pedals

I got over myself and started listening to a bunch of 80's metal over the last couple of years. I ended up buying a ADA MP-1 so I could mess with it, try out some mods etc... It's a ton of fun, and it nails that sound. Ended up finding a Sonic Maximizer for cheap too. I was running it through...

Speaker suggestions for Jet City JCA100HDM? 2x12

I recently got a JCA100HDM. I did the SLO mod to the OD channel, and replaced the tubes. I love what the amp does, but I don't think my current speakers are a great match. I have a Avatar Traditional 2x12 with a Warehouse ET65 and Veteran 30. Cab sounded great with my old 2203 and a couple...

Incoming! Korean Dano Double Cut, with a p-90?

Awesome! I think that used to be mine, and I did the mod. If I remember right, the pickup is a Duncan Vintage P90. But it's been a few years, so who knows at this point. Super fun guitar, and I remember it sounding really cool, and nothing like any of my other guitars...

    Strat Bridge Pickup Topology

It's not tapped, but I'm a big fan of the Dimarzio SDS-1. It's incredibly similar to the Fralin Steel Pole 43 in both construction and sound, but quite a bit cheaper.

Post a really bad picture of one of your guitars...

Garbage phone camera, terrible lighting, awful photo composition. $125 Squier Stagemaster and 3 Partscasters. 15400292_10202527167776197_3198693133612072109_n by Ham_fist posted Dec 10, 2016 at 8:40 AM

    Inexpensive Shredder recommendations?

Look at this. LOOK AT IT! Again, I just wish somebody would buy it so I could stop wanting it! http://www.guitarcenter.com/Used/Yamaha/Rgx61s-Solid-Body-Electric-Guitar.gc

    Inexpensive Shredder recommendations?

These are cool too. I got one for $125 at a Music Go Round clearance sale. Neck-thru and it plays great. The Floyd isn't awesome, but it works fine. Pickups are basically garbage. But it's a great platform for modding and the quality of construction on the neck/body is way WAY better than...

    Inexpensive Shredder recommendations?

This one. No affiliation, I just wish somebody would buy it so it would stop haunting me. The Gotoh Floyd is top notch, so no need to replace it. Body and neck are MIJ (by ESP). Total sleeper, and a steal for the price...

Can someone with C+ soldering skills swap out a Tele neck pickup?

When soldering to the back of a pot, the most important thing is to make sure it is *CLEAN*. Brush or wipe on some acetone (nail polish remover) or rubbing alcohol. It evaporates really fast. Basically any solder you buy is going to have a flux core (make sure you get rosin core, of course)...
