Bogner XTC Classic
For real heavy stuff I’d gravitate toward my KPA. I know, I know it’s heresy...
This makes a lot of sense!
Great pedal for Single Coils (especially at 18v) or fattening up any signal.
Also like Timmy, Naga Viper, Analogman...
I always liked his early amps....Maz Sr., Ghia, Z-28/Route 66.
KILLER designs and very unique tonally.
Both are open sounding but the Metroplex just sounds more like an old school Plexi compared to the Perplex’D which to me is more JMP/JCM.
Mine sits next to a Morris Perplex'd, RedPlate Magica and BadCat Black Cat 30r. All fantastic amps but my Metroplex just has its own old...
I can’t think of any gig that I’D play where I couldn’t get it done with this amp and maybe my BFVR if a super clean tone was necessary.
Think I’ve had my MP for like 2-3 years now.
Honeymoon phase is WAY over.
It’s still my desert island amp.
If he does, and the price tag is in the $3500 range he’ll have some very stiff competition.
Grosh, Anderson and Suhr immediately come to mind....
Agreed but with the limited resources to actually play speakers (gear) for a lot of folks......it’s what we got now a days.
Clips and find...
And those of us who’ve waited patiently and passed on other deals, or could’ve had a guitar built elsewhere get to start our wait all over...
Been on the list for over a year. Wish he’d have at least finished folks guitars who’ve been waiting.
I’ve read quite a bit of this thread and the clips sound great guys, GREAT JOB!!
But I kinda wish I hadn’t opened this can ‘o worms cause now I’m...
BF Vibrolux and a few pedals.
Germino has to be the single channel Champion. Killer amps in the old school vein. Greg is a great guy (and guitar player).
S3 OD channel 2 can cover low gain tones beautifully. It responds to the player and guitar just as well as other NMV amps I’ve owned in the...
An EQ pedal with a volume knob/fader has always worked well for solo boosts for me. I’ve used that trick with a ton of different amps.
El Cap is a classic!
I've tried a bunch of different delays, its still one of the very best.
Hopefully I get a chance to try the Volante someday.
Sig definitely has lots of gain but it can be dialed back and sounds great.
The amount of available gain wouldn't be my concern, the voicing would...
Not sure but it’s surprisingly light considering it’s size.
Still one of the very best amps I’ve ever owned.
Trem-O-Verb is one of my favorite amps ever and hugely underrated amongst the Boogie lineup.
LSS and Blue Angel are great too!
I got an Old World that’s not bad....as well as a Trussart, which happens to be one of my all time favorite Tele’s/guitars.
But it’s hard to beat...
Channel Switching Amp:
Trem/Q-Tron etc (Möbius for me)
Volume Boost for Solo’s
Clean Pedal Platform:
All the above...
I have both and they are indeed badass.
Great in their own way but different beasts.
Too bad they aren’t carrying Kimber, Vovox, Van Den Hul etc.....
Love the ELC’s BTW.
I’m running a Secret Pre in front so my gain levels are a bit deceiving.
Gain 1 around 1:00
Gain 2 around 10:00
Bright switch engaged (B1?) on...
