where are you getting the partsacaster body from? if you're ordering to your spec, some of the makers will do an angled neck pocket to work with...
For the cost of assembling why not buy a nice already made guitar?

depends on their fixed cost vs. variable cost structure.
I'm no mathematician, but if you charge 25% more and cut production by 75% you're a) losing economies of scale so unit cost raises and b) overall...
What exactly do you want out of a custom set that's different from the options available out there? Different material or completely different...
