Both great!!! Awesome!!
I had a maple board 3tone burst strat plus
huge fan of the lace sensors too, also had a Clapton back then
Greer or germino
I remember that one, wanted it badly.
I esquired by burst hardtail for awhile
you can option no frills and single wolfetone P90 and it freaking KILLS!!!
Or in my case a single pickup banshee....
You need an eclipse
Need pics of the guts
Upload them to imgur or something and post the links here
Germino doesn’t fx loops
It actually only effects the voltage.
So it’s that voltage variance. Plus or minus 5 volts on the plates? I defy anyone to tell what recto is...
People put way too much emphasis on ‘tone’ coming from a recto tube.
It’s a function tube.
Buy the best NOS you can afford and forget about it...
Don’t remember any tonal difference when I had a glaser bender tele.
i stupidly sold :facepalm
There’s carpenter tolerance and luthier tolerance
In general most carpenters assume you can at worst, be within an 1/8th inch.
I always find 47k at the speaker Jack is Pretty much a good all around.
That said I run my bass head with a 27k like Duane’s, and my favorite lead...
Don’t get me wrong, huge respect for dr z.
But unless you’re doing a switchable tone stack and filtering it’s always going to be a compromise in...
Strat - Jeff Beck
Les Paul - kossoff
Tele - Marty Stuart
Love Z and haven’t tried that one but I have never felt like a do it all Marshall build ever does them all well.
metroplex then exception
That’s a different argument.
Discuss the two amps and not the supposed Marshall information.
those amps should be fairly close imo.
JMPs don’t have tube recto.
You don’t hear the recto so much as you feel it.
That’s the least impactful (tonally) is the circuit differences
Germino Club 40
(1986 JMP 50 circuit)
Marshall JMP50 1987 circuit
All things said the 87 will be crispier and...
Again calling a germino club 40 a jmp50 is leaving out a big piece of information
Jmp50 is not a circuit it’s a series
Germino club 40 is bass spec 1986 ish circuit design. With a tube recto it might as well be a jtm50
I did get a cam18 again
