Which One of You Guys is Liquidating His Collection? Massive PRS Arsenal!

Yeah, it was a really bizarre collection. Those custom Cornish rigs were insane, and the multiples of the same pedal. Even Lou Reed didn't have that many Cornish pedals. I counted 10 different SS-3 Cornish pedals in the various lots. Who in their right minds would need that many? But the way...

Which One of You Guys is Liquidating His Collection? Massive PRS Arsenal!

Crazy, someone got some steals on some Pete Cornish pedals. An SS-2 for $350 Canadian and another lot of 2 SS2s for $1100ish and 2 P2s for $1100ish. Wild!

Pete Cornish Death Pedal. Lou Reed Fuzz.

Looking at the front of my pedal it looks like it's just an NG pedal, not an NG-2 or NG-3. Opened it up and it was made way back in 2003. No way to tell whether it has any silicons as everything has been painted over. No big deal though because.....IT SOUNDS AWESOME!!!!!

How do you get "THAT" stratocaster sound?

Checked out your youtube page. You have and have had so much incredible gear. What you need to do is practice more. What you're looking for isn't going to be found in any piece of gear if you don't put the hours in.

Pete Cornish Death Pedal. Lou Reed Fuzz.

Yes - the buzz bomb is magic. More of a studio tool for me for messed up sounds when they're needed. The Union Tube More pedal is INCREDIBLE.

TwinsthenewTrend Listening to Bob Dylan the First Time

This is so great. These young people have a whole channel dedicated to listening to new music. They say that because they had a religious family, growing up they weren't allowed to listen to a lot of different genres of music. In this video they listen to Bob Dylan's The Times They Are A...

New EHX Metal Muff pedal coming....

Yes, the Metal Muff is a great pedal. We were trying to decide what distortion to use when playing the Metallica riffs from Lulu. Had access to all these amazing Pete Cornish pedals. For that sound, the Metal Muff blew them away. I still have mine and use it on occasion. It's just a perfect...

Replace the Flint...can you do it?

I like my flint, but I think it's really shittily made for the money. Granted, I don't have a beautiful board but I've toured for years with pedals that have taken a beating and it was really annoying to have the speed knob break off and see that it was a plastic shaft. This is another combo...

Pete Cornish Death Pedal. Lou Reed Fuzz.

No idea, but I'm pretty sure that it's germanium. There were a couple of gigs in Italy where we had fans on the pedals, along with reflective blankets to keep them cool. It was a mess, but I also remember that tweaking the bias knob was a big help.

Pete Cornish Death Pedal. Lou Reed Fuzz.

For sure, I have a couple of other fuzzes with the bias pot, great for ****** fizzle effects.

Pete Cornish Death Pedal. Lou Reed Fuzz.

Yes, the bias control does allow for gating, but Lou also used it for live situations that were very hot, like shows in Italy, where the Germanium would act wonky. The bias helped out with those situations. I don't know the electronics behind it, just remember it helping with heat at shows.

Pete Cornish Death Pedal. Lou Reed Fuzz.

Yup that's it. And having used this pedal on my amp right before it died, I have to say that that combo was even more incredible!

Pete Cornish Death Pedal. Lou Reed Fuzz.

Made a clip of this today. Pete Cornish NG2 Death Pedal Fuzz, made for Lou Reed. You can still see Lou's settings on this controls, and of course those are the ones that sound best, but I try out some other ones here. Recorded with a Rick Kelly Bowery Pine Telecaster through a 1964 Fender Deluxe...

    Vintage guitars and signatures

There's someone with a Kay Thin Twin in my area, a guitar I'd love to get. Normally they're anywhere from $800 to $2000. This one is signed by Johnny Winter, so it started at $6000 and is now down to $5000...
