    NAD: Goodsell Enhanced 5F2 - 2x8

Ultimately wasn't the amp and speaker combo for me. Tho it really was a great sounding amp, the 2x8s where not versatile enough, 4x8s would have been better. so Richard and I did a trade, he owns the 5f2 and he built me an Enhanced 5f11 w/ tremolo w/ 2x5881s and 1x12.

    Goodsell Custom 33 Or Danelectro F series 217 2x15?!

Goodsell man! the 33 is a great stage amp. I use half of that every week w/ my Goodsell MkIV Super 17.

    Goodsell 17 with 2X10 speakers...

I've owned a 2x10 Goodsell and just didn't care for the 10's w/ that amp. YMMV. If it were mine I'd remove that bright cap on the volume control and get a 1x12 baffle from Mojotone. My main gigging amp has been a Goodsell Super 17 MkIV 1x12 for the last 6-7 years and always some Goodsell for...

    NAD: Goodsell Enhanced 5F2 - 2x8

Starts to break up around 8, very smooth and warm break up. My Goodsell Enhanced 5f2 gig report: "Boy, that's an adult amp. Two knobs, no reverb or tremolo. All guitar. (old Maxon analog delay sounded very nice thru the amp) Class A single ended is a different beast from A/B push/pull tube...

    NAD: Goodsell Enhanced 5F2 - 2x8

Goodsell Enhanced 5F2 2x8 (WGS G8C). vintage NOS Tung-Sol 6550 power tube putting out 17watts clean w/ fixed bias w/ a 0B3 gas voltage regulator and a 12ax7. It's been fun watching this amp go from an idea, to percolation, to this beautiful tube amp. When Richard mention the idea a few months...

    What Weber 8" (8ohm) alnico w/ WGS G8C?

Dean! I'm so glad to hear that, I am a huge WGS fan. the Black and Blue is fantastic, thought it was way better than the competition. I'm holding off on the Weber, maybe Richard could bring one back w/ him(!)

    What Weber 8" (8ohm) alnico w/ WGS G8C?

Anticipating a new Goodsell build from Richard, a prototype w/ 2x8s, It'll be a 17-19 watt single end amp w/ one 6550 power tube (or a KT66) w/ a 0B3 gas voltage regulator (w/ purple glow) and SS rectifier to get all the power available. I'm thinking of an alnico to pair w/ the ceramic WGS G8C...

Warehouse Speakers- too good to be true?

ALL my amps have WGS speakers, this is after trying a bunch of other brands. Love their stuff, built in the USofA, and great guys,.. don't be fooled by the prices, in most cases (to my ear) they are better than the originals that some of the WGS are based on.

Americana EL84 amp? Deluxe Reverb with chime?

IMO there's not a better amp than a Goodsell Super 17 MkIV, very versatile, great size, excellent tone stack, heavenly tube driven reverb and tremolo.

    Two Amps (!!)

I took two small combo amps to my gig Friday night, three guitar players on stage and one guy plays through a twin, loudly,.. plus keys, etc, a packed stage. I thought I'd get as much coverage as I could and brought a 17 and a 12 watter, both combo amps w/ 12s. Had to stack them, the 17 on top...

New amp for country cover band?

With a super 17 and the V6 (both MkIV) I can cover all the tones I want. The 17 does thick (EL84) tones, cuts great w/ full mids. The V6 has the classic scooped mids, nice sparkle on the top end,.. tweed deluxe ish. I think I'm Pops Staples when I'm playing the V6. I've been looking for an...

New amp for country cover band?

I'm going to have to disagree BAB, try a Goodsell MkIV V6, the perfect country amp. I've got a WGS Black and Blue in mine. Most excellent for country and/or Curtis Mayfield style R&B.

    Goodsell S17 6v6 model: what's the deal?

I have both a Goodsell 6V6 and a Super 17 with the MkIV preamp so they are fairly recent. The EL 84s certainly cut better in a stage mix, thicker sounds, IMO for a gigging amp they are hard to beat. But I love sitting around the house playing the 6V6 amp, the detail is magical.

    Goodsell S17 6v6 model: what's the deal?

The model is call a Goodsell V6 MkIV, I've got one w/ a WGS Black and Blue 12. Sweet would be my description. There's a demo of a custom V6 (w/ 4 6V6s) w/ Richard talking about the build. igRXdH1b9dE

Beautiful amp and the guitar is pretty darn nice too (had to say it). The MkIV S17 is my favorite amp hands down. I have a #0015 original S17 that is magical,.. my MkIV V6 is fun too. Congratulations Jason!!

New Amp: Gold Sparkle Goodsell S17

Two thumbs up for WGS speakers. I have a WGS Black and Blue alnico in my Goodsell V6 and it's spectacular. On the WGS G12C/S, I'm excited about this speaker. What I've heard of it is impressive so I'm curious what it'll do on stage.

New Amp: Gold Sparkle Goodsell S17

Standard Disclaimer: I work w/ Richard on his digital media, we're buds and I've owned nothing but Goodsell amps (I've lost count) since I bought my first, #0015. I had seen the gold sparkle covering on the Mojotone web site and that was it, how could my next amp be anything but gold sparkle...

How to Relic Your Amp - BBQ style

In defense of the guitar players who've fumbled for the right hole,... the Fat Matts is dark and on the small side for a full band. And they do serve beer.

How to Relic Your Amp - BBQ style

Looks like a (shudder) harp players setting,.. that's funny! It smells like pig fat and BBQ sauce. Not in a bad way. Here's a good photo of a '90s reissue vibroverb when new.
