So I've been reading a lot about these amps and I would like to know how TGP members who have owned one or more of these amps would describe their sonic differences? How much clean headroom? How they take pedals? Do they respond better to single coils or humbuckers? Is there another 10-20 watter I should be considering?

    65 Amps - London / Monterey
    Divided By 13 - JRT 9/15
    Bogner - Duende

    Thanks,

Even though I just sold mine, I think the Badger 18W is a fantastic amp...

I would look at the 15W Metropolis over the Duende.
IMO, the Metro is a better sounding amp. The Duende's tone left me scratching my head. Nice 'verb and tremolo, but the base tone wasn't there for me. Interesting too, as I love 6V6s!

So how about hearing from some more people that own or have owned some of the amps I am considering?

The Roccaforte Custom 18 rocks, sounds huge, much bigger than 18 watts.

The Suhr Badger is an awesome amp, I've only played it through a 4x12 - very complex overtones.

I have been digging my 15W Metropolis with my single coilers for a couple of years now. Excellent EL84 tones that are much clearer than most EL84 amps. Some more headroom would be nice, but it gets plenty loud and still stays clean. The Schizo knob lets you dial in 5 different voices and Treb/Bass knobs to tweak the tone more.
If you are looking for low wattages, I just got a Mesa Lonestar Special with 5-15-30 watt settings that sounds similiar to the Bogner, but has more versatility. A clean channel with a good level of headroom and a second channel to get dirty.

The /13's are killer, I've played the 9/15 and it sounded huge, killer fat in your face tone. Other /13's to consider are the 10/20 and the 13/29
