I have a Peavey Triumph 120 I got for $100 and after modding it a bunch I may pull the transformers to use towards a build: I've read the transformers in these were good.

Was thinking about a Marshall Super Lead, would keep the 6l6GCs. Want something that is all about the guitar volume to control the gain: semi clean/dirty up to some good crunch.

Apparently HAD used Peavey trannies (Mace ?) for a few Steel String Singers *, so that would be a very intriguing option !

as somebody who's rocked an old 2203 forever, definitely put a good loop in it!

unless you're somebody who plays 100w marshalls all-out dimed that'll make it way more useful
