Up for sale is a 1951 Epiphone Zenith archtop acoustic guitar. This was made in New York City prior to Gibson's acquisition of Epiphone and is a great example of why they were one of Gibson's primary competitors. I bought this in a local shop after playing it and being really taken with the punchy sound that it produces. It shows quite a bit of play wear and may have had a binding repair at some point (see close-up pic). It's also missing the pickguard. Otherwise, it plays nicely and sounds fantastic. Weight is 4 lbs, 12.6 oz. Sale includes a non-original hardshell case in good condition. Looking for $895 PP/shipped. ConUS only. Not interested in trades, thanks. The action is adjustable via the thumbwheels at the bridge, but at its current setup, I measure between 5/64" and 3/32" at the 12th fret. Here is a pic of the action at the 12th fret and also a look at the bridge to show much room there is for lowering.
