Who's ready to show up at this guy's apartment with 150K in cash?

That finish and "fotoflame" looking top are mega dodgy. Inlays are wrong. As are the tuner bushings.

    Wouldn't pay $1500 for it.

Hey, if he's willing to leave 150 grand on the table, he might be willing to leave 299 grand on the table if you push him a little!

I wouldn’t be shocked if the seller is Doug Roehr.

He was trying to sell “bursts” with similar tops in San Diego under a number of eBay handles, including Godzilla and Emperor From Mars.

The ad reads like a TGP rant! Multiple rants actually, combined into one.

Wonder what his user name is.

My bridge is worth a million, but I'm willing to sell it for a half million, just to prove that people still want to buy bridges.

So prove how stupid I am and give me a half million dollars for my Golden Gate Bridge right now, before I change my mind!

There’s a blast from the past. I’d forgotten all about Doug. He was always running tacky eBay listings full of vintage guitars, jibberish, girls, and Godzilla’s.

I agree with the comments above. At a glance, the top looks like it’s Western Maple, the inlays don’t look right. The photos aren’t good enough to say it is or isn’t.

Yeah, but rubbing them with shoe polish really nailed the look?

Apparently it's 1 serial number away from Greeny.

And conveniently, there are no pictures of the guitar with that serial number (9 2207) in the gallery of the Burst Serial Number website. And I could not find any mention of the guitar with that serial number on the Les Paul Forum.

    Right. Totally genuine.

Maybe I'll list my house at half price, you know, just to 'test' the market. Then I'll know. o_O

Whether it is or isn't legit, if I were selling something of that caliber, the pictures and documentation would be thorough, numerous, and clear. This is BS. I wouldn't consider this guitar for $1500 with these pics as pedigree.
