Haha indeed. How Eric ever befriended a guy like that, we'll never know.

I've owned some of EJ's gear in the past and seem to recall that he didn't like folks promoting it as "celebrity owned" and seeking higher than market prices just because it had passed through his hands. He also wanted musicians to own his gear, not collectors. But that was many years ago. For all I know he might be OK with this approach now.

That was listed on ebay by the same seller last year, I believe. I thought it had sold.

I was thinking that exact same thing! I guess it didn't sell...but it does raise a redflag.

Vary nice but in the Guitar Player report from the Austin Show in 2011 (I think?) it showed his ´57 from Tones up for 40k, and another of his up for 30k - so 100k seems a bit steep..............

Hey, but the shipping is free! I would go nuts thinking about UPS delivering my $99,000 guitar...

That is OK... I already own one of his guitars. Fender sells them new now... for a heck of a lot less!

For that money I'd hand-deliver it.

Did Eric say he swore off either rosewood or maple necks not too long ago? I recall reading that somewhere in an interview, and he mentioned selling all of the ones he owned.

He wasn't even playing guitar in 1962, not even old enough in fact to go out of the house by himself! Ludicrous!
