Red, pre-SG-style double-cut, two pickups, vibrola, soft case, typical circa-1965 deep/narrowish neck, no breaks, some wear...

It jumped out at me in a local pawnshop yesterday. $600 takes it, which seems a decent price.

    Your thoughts?

I might just...although there's a good chance I'll end up using it as trade bait.

It's a really nasty, trashy little guitar (in a good way), but I'm just not playing a lot of garage rawk these days!

I've been wanting one of these forever. If you get it and don't want it, sell it to me!

I traded away a two pickup MM with a tremolo I had installed by Gibson along about '65. Could it be the one?

    Pics please....

I just bought a well abused '66 (SG shape) Melody Maker for $450 - score! Freaking amazing, in the under $1K range I think there are some serious bargains out there...

    It's here!

Being a hard-core corksniffer I'd forgotten how much fun a light, cheap, and snotty little guitar can be.

Photos to come, but you'll have to be patient...I'm practically cameraphobic.
