Just found out my 66 Deluxe Reverb's speaker needs reconing. What is the best course of action? Have the original Blue-label Oxford speaker reconed, leave the speaker as-is and replaced with newer speaker, i.e. Weber 12F150, Naylor SD50 etc., or find an original period-correct functioning Blue-label Oxford speaker?

If it were mine I would have Weber do a recone with his blue dog cone, a 50 watt voice coil and break it in.

That's if it's even possible to do a 1.75" voice coiled speaker in a 1.5" frame

He doesn't use the 1.75" in coil just the cone. Check his website. He does a 12F150B which is the blue dog cone.
