1u preamp use with g major 2

Looking for suggestions on a 1u peramp to use with my g major 2 and samson power amp. I am thinking about building a dr. boogie preamp, but figrued I would ask for some suggestions on some preamps.

What kind of tone do you want? There's so many options.

It's pretty tough to beat a SYN-2 by Synergy. It's not the end-all, be-all but it can do a lot in one rack space.

Both of these, and I have an old Peavey Rockmaster that I enjoy, that pairs well and can be controlled by the G-major.
