Someone above mentioned the Fender Vibroverb. The vintage ones from the 60's cost boat-loads, and some find the reissues lacking the great Fender tones.

Solution? There are a fair amount of Vibroverb clones out there. I lucked into a home-built one that's wonderful. Loaded with a JBL D-130, which is a terrific speaker in that amp. Do a search for Vibroverb clones and see what you find. Good stuff to be had.

The Ampeg Gemini II is a great choice. Mine is no longer stock. 6L6s, bigger PT, tube rectifier, Big Ben speaker. My friend says it has some V4 in there now. It's on the ragged side, but the sound could not be better.

Allen will put most if not all of his amps into a 15 inch combo cab. An Accomplice sounds pretty good with a 15!

Also, the Fender Pro narrow panel tweed amp had a 15, and some of the tweed clone makers offer their version.

SonicCord Bantam combo ... a rare bird...pair of el34s and loads of clean headroom and takes pedals well.

    oh...they dont make them anymore?

you could PM me for offering on mine if I was of a mind to sell...which I might or might not be depending on the tides.

An amazing amp with a voice all its own.

My first real guitar amp was a Standel Studio 15. Two channels, no effects, a Jensen 15, solid state preamp and 6L6 output. Loud and clean was it's thing. I've never seen another. Musicman made some 1x15 guitar amps.

Weber now has sound clips on the page for the Ceramic Chicago 15" speaker.

Buy any large chassis fender and have a combo cab built for it. I have done several of these for friends of mine. Twins,Bassmans, Super Reverbs, Bandmasters, Deluxes, etc, etc...

I'd love to find one of these. You're right, I don't think they made too many.

    Nice Tweed Pro, Oatie. I have a '57 that came with a Jensen P15P. Previously, I owned a '59 with a P15N.
Which speaker is in your's? I couldn't read the numbers in your photos.

Crate Vintage Club 50 watt 1 x 15" (VC5115) is another choice that can be found in the $350-400 range.

I believe chris duarte favored them before his sig amp. Slightly off topic but a lot of people use them as doner amps for Fuchs mods.

I have a Gomez G-Reverb which is a 1x15 combo; discontinued but one or two may still be available at the source.

Mine's going with me to the grave.

Just got another dog in this race ... '60 Fender brownface Pro, JBL. At the shop now, gotta get this thing back and hear more of that heavy tone. What a fine sounding amp.
