Kinda hard to feel sorry for you...
The speaker that shipped from the factory on the Tweed Pro was the P15N,
this is what is on my amp. I also have a great C15N from an old Organ Pull
that is an entirely different tone.
The funny thing is this amp shipped with all ECC83 tubes in the pre amp, they did not install the 12AY7, all the date codes are correct. I removed all the original tubes for safekeeping to keep them new.
So I run two 5751 RCA BP tubes in v1, v2 and Mullard 12ax7 in V3.
two Tung 5881 old stock and a Raytheon 5U4GB 2xgetter rectifier.
Now the amp sings, both the Tele and Les spank the tone out of this amp.
I have another cab the same size as the Pro that I use as an extension cab for the bottom, then I can play the P15N or C15N or both together.
2 - 15's at the same time sound great and I also use the 1961 Reverb Unit
with the pro. I will be using the Dynamic-Duo-Pro Amp during then 4th of July Jamboree. My 50 watt Marshall and Tweed Twin will also be setup.
How many of you folks are having big jam parties for the 4th?
Why not a Samamp VAC 23 with Jensen alnico 15"? Incredible amp...
With good tubes, this is an excellent underrate amp
The reverb is its weakest part but still great
Doug Sewell made a 1 x 15 Texaverb and 1 x 15 Texaplex. I have the last 1 x 15 Texaverb he made ( he custom built it for me). They occassionaly come up for sale but not very often.
The Blankenship FATboy Supreme (aka FATboy w/ sour cream) is one of the greatest combos made. If you can find one, try it. You'll likely buy it. I will own another.
Indeed...but rare as hen's teeth, unfortunately (C15N).
But even harder to find than an M13 is the National Professional (P15N):
You may have better luck finding a Vega V70 (P15P):
or a Silvertone 1433 (new cab for mine):
I had a Blonde Crusty cab built for my Dual Showman Reverb head with kickback legs
Had the baffle off center to balance the weight of the iron when transporting.
I put in a Weber 15" JBL Clone.
The amp is glorious, heavy but glorious.
New 15" VVT Nighthawk looks pretty cool. Debating on that vs. Victoria trem de la trem right now.
