    Fender Clean/Marshall Dirty

    Marshall Clean/Fender Dirty.

    Both work great.

I run a 69 Dual Showman with ODS mod, and a Metro GMP45.

If I just use 1 amp I usually go with the Metro.

Cleans are the most difficult for me to get right...so, give me an amp with full, non-hifi, hairless cleans and I'll do the rest with pedals.

Fender (clean) / Dumble (slight hair) - both on all the time. Pedals = drive.

No amp is set truly clean for what I do; they're pretty much cooking with a booster or fuzz in front and I adjust the clean/dirt by the guitar volume. I do prefer tweed/brown Fenders and Marshall circuits

either my Fender/Fuchs ODS or Mesa Mark IV both work great for that.

Hmm, interesting that some musicians don't like the idea of using two amps at live shows. I thought to bring a Fender and Marshall amp is going to be perfect.

On the other hand, Jeff Buckley did it. Fender / Mesa. And he sounded superb.

I choose Fender clean and Marshall dirt, and it would be my set up if I play pro, but for practical purpose, I have Mesa┬┤s
