The $20 thing was an intro price. I think that was over with some time this past Fall.

I don't think so. I think it will stay at the $45, as it's still cheaper than "real" Celestions.

And made in the USA if I recall.

Not that it seems to matter...people seemed more wrapped up in names then sound or where it's made.

Scum(bag) er scumback-they be good, real good.

this OT I think I will start a line of pedals called Effin' pedals, #1, #2, and #3, and sell them for big bucks, then watch them turn up on ebay for even bigger effin' bucks.:Spank

If a Pink Flesh sells anything will.:D

Come to think of it....my original Scumbacks have Scumbag stickers on the back.

I guess they are collectors items now....or whenever Jim kicks the bucket. :D

I would have considered it...I got one of the first pair of 16Ohm GB, and I didn't like them much (see earlier in this thread). But they are breaking in, and I think I really just needed to find the right amp with it.

I didn't like them with my Peters, they were OK but a bit harsh with my Trainwreck, and AWESOME with my 18 watt. So um...I'm keeping them now!

Uh, I'll need those back... with the Scumbag labels intact, too. Just ship them out to me, don't make a scene, they're for the museum. Can you get them ready to shop back tomorrow? I'll send Fedex by to pick them up. ;)

Only in a general sense, since both speakers are "cousins" (being modeled after Celestions). Clips are clips though; maybe they're giving you the wrong impression. The Green Beret sound similar to greenbacks and the Veteran 30 sound similar to Vintage 30. You can trust us on this. Here, and on Harmony Central. :)

Hmm, I guess it would be just as easy (and cheaper) to reissue the Scumbag label, huh? :)

Here's a pic for ya Jim!

Maybe that's how I should advertise the cab. FS: Marshall 1960A loaded with an H75/H55 mix with original Scumbag labels. Maybe that will get it sold. :AOK

Me confused.....so are Scumbacks clones of Scumbags or something?

Seems Mr. Scumbag might be a little miffed about this.

Nope. They were Scumbag speakers to start with, then I changed the speaker name to Scumback, a combination of Scumbag and Greenback, suggested by a friend.

I thought this thread was about the Warehouse Speakers Celestion clones.
