If you're local, just call and find out. either scam or killer deal.

My spidey sense says scam or stolen.

I've known plenty of people to sell their stuff for a quick buck. I bought an original '68 Tele on CL this month for a grand… and no, it wasn't stolen - the guy had a "great deal" lined up for a fancy snowblower and sold it based on a 10 year old appraisal. My guess is it's a Highway 1 with no case.

I saw a lefty American Standard Tele in a pawn shop last week for $299.00. I almost thought about learning to be ambidextrous. It was a little beat up but a deal all the same.

Yeah, I live in Athens and saw that on CraigsList. If I had the money to spare I would have sure investigated that!

Paid $320 for a year old american tele a few years ago at a reputible local guitar store, it was perfect condition and that was with a case. so $200 not outlandish, they have 22 frets verse the 21 frets of the MIM or MIJ models, that was what I was looking for.
