Hey guys! So I absolutely LOVE my PRS McCarty but I have really been hankering for a PRS axe with a tremolo on it. Do any of you know what kind of price / trade value I could try to ask for if I decide to let my baby go? Its a 10 top with gold hardware and an indian rosewood neck. It has QUITE a bit of gigging wear though, and I replaced the bridge setup with a nickel PRS bridge which has been worn out pretty bad, but is still definitely playable. Anyhow I figured I'd ask here in hopes that I am posting in the right section. Thanks!

P.S. I totally spelled it wrong in the title, and I'm a forum noob so I can't figure out how to change it lol. OOPS!

With that amount of wear, I would say the value is exactly $1589.74.

Funny, wasn't that the amount you mentioned to me you had in your savings account?

I was thinking the same thing... A PRS with tremolo will not sound the same....or feel the same......

Beautiful piece, more dear than what it's worth. Don't sell.

Don't sell it. You'll regret it for the rest of your life. Save up and buy another PRS with a tremolo.

I just sold a mcrosie non10top w/birds for $1700 QUICK. You could probably start there or a bit higher.

If it's your go-to or has semtimental value... Hang onto it. They don't come around much.

Here's a simple piece of advice: Don't do it.

Are those the original pickups with the covers removed, or aftermarket pickups? That affects the value.

But I would chime in with the others - keep it, save up for another. I've wanted a McCarty since they first came out in 94 and the guitar magazines were running ads for them.

I wouldn't sell it! My 07 Mccarty is my favourite guitar that I've played and its just a regular mahogany neck, non-10-top model!

Looks like that guitar has a rosewood neck. Would the trem guitar have one as well? That might make a difference to you.
