I'm considering picking up a 2014 Les Paul Signature. Would any current owners mind putting up photos of theirs? I'm curious how the white binding would look with zebra pickups, or cream pickup rings, pickguard, etc. Basically, I don't care for the blacked out look, but worry about the cream parts contrasting with the white binding.

    Thanks!

Hmm... Gibson likes re-using the names on different models.
There were 3 incarnations of the Futura.

Here's what an LP Signature looked like. I guess they may not reissue it since the name is now being used for a different guitar.

Yes, I realize that was the original Les Paul Signature, but it's not a 2014 Les Paul Signature.

I know that it isn't the one you were asking about. I just wanted to show an example of Gibson recycling names.

Isn't it actually called a Les Paul Signature T? ...or is that something else?

The Les Paul Signature T was a 2013 model. They made some changes and dropped the T for 2014.

    2013 Signature T
    • '60s neck
    • V/V/T/T controls
    • Granadillo fingerboard
    • Cream binding
    • Cream pickguard and pickup rings
    • Min-E Tune optional

    2014 Signature
    • '50s neck
    • V/V/T/Boost switch controls
    • Rosewood fingerboard
    • W/B/W binding (just white on neck, none on HS)
    • B/W/B/W/B pickguard and black pickup rings
    • Min-E Tune standard

I couldn't get past the Signature on the pickguard and the toggle switch (LPs should have 4 knobs IMO) which is why I went with the Sig T. Would changing the black knobs to gold and putting nickel or chrome covers on the pups be enough change for you? I just can't imagine cream parts not clashing with the white binding.

The signature is like a traditional , but with an added boost switch. Pretty cool IMO.i have one and LOVE it . Black pick guard and knobs don't bother me though...

Yeah, I'm wondering if the covers & knobs would get me by too. As for the T, I really prefer the '50s neck. I can also loose the boost switch easy enough with a 3/8" drill bit.

    Good info, thanks!

Bump for the weeknight crew. Anyone with any photos of any cosmetic mods to the '14 Signature?

Also the battery can be taken out and the boost becomes a kill switch .

Thanks again. In an unexpected turn of events, I passed on the '14 Signature and bought an R8 instead.

I'd love to post a pic of mine for you but still can't post picks ) : I thought it was one of the best looking LPs I have owned.
