2015 Attenuator roundup

    What's available now as far as attenuators? I just found out that some have loops, which is great. How do the $300 offerings compare to those that are much more expensive?

    ...And, occasionally, the vintage Altair - my favorite. They work with 4 and 8 ohms, and up to 300 watts (although I haven't tried it with any over 100w).

    There we tons of attenuators and re-ampere these days. Just do a forum search. The re-ampers are the ones with loops and that sound better with large amounts of attenuation. I think there was a recent post asking your exact same question.

    Thanks, I'll take a look. I didn't even bother doing a search before posting because I thought the chances someone actually posting a recent topic regarding this were pretty much nil.
