I've decided to sell my Fender American Elite Series Telecaster. It's in “as new” condition with the OHSC and all case candy. No fret wear, scratches, breaks, or repairs.

I particularly like the Ocean Turquoise finish with an ebony fretboard which was a limited run and stopped being available early on while the Elite Telecasters were in production. The white binding provides a beautiful contrast to the Ocean Turquoise finish. These are virtually impossible to find now. Listings are either “Sold out” or “No longer available”. People who have one are hanging on to them.

This is one spectacular instrument with one of the best necks I've ever played. It's a compound radius with locking tuners and an ebony fretboard with medium jumbo frets. The vast majority of Elite Series guitars with ebony boards have streaks in them but this one is solid black, something that was very difficult to find. Most Elite Series Fenders with ebony boards whether Stratocasters or Telecasters had streaks in them.

I had to hunt for months to find one with a solid black board having the vendor I eventually went with open three boxes to find one without any streaks at all and then had him send me photos to confirm what he was saying before purchasing it. I went out of my way to make sure the board was solid black. Even back when they were being sold new an Ocean Turquoise American Elite Telecaster with a solid black ebony board was exceptionally difficult to find.

Bends are smooth as silk between the ebony board and medium jumbo frets. The “C” to “D” neck carve and 9.5” to 14” compound radius board make it one of the best necks I’ve ever held. It's truly a player's delight and was well worth the effort to locate it.

The rear contour on the body and beveled neck heel make it really comfortable to play with excellent upper fret access. Its feature set make it an ideal Telecaster for the gigging or recording musician.

I'm selling a few guitars and the reason why is the same for all of them. I'm only playing Jazz gigs now and had been pretty much only playing semi-hollow guitars, I also want to offset the cost of some other gear purchases.

I like this Telecaster so much I built a partscaster with an Elite Telecaster neck, N4 Pickups, and Elite volume and tone controls as a backup. It’s virtually a replica of my Ocean Turquoise Elite Tele but with a sunburst finish. Both sound exceptional playing Jazz, R&B, Blues, Blues Rock, Classic Rock, Top 40s, Metal…you name it. The clean tones, edge of breakup tones, and higher gain tones are excellent.

I started spending more time playing the partscaster than my semi-hollows, even for Jazz, and saved wear and tear on the Elite Tele by playing it. So as wonderful as this guitar is, it hasn’t been getting played. I realized that I need to stop holding on to guitars I’m not playing so as a result whoever purchases it will get a guitar in “as new” condition…the same as it was right out of the box.

Here's the description as provided by Fender:

The American Elite Telecaster is the original solidbody electric guitar re-imagined for the modern guitarist who needs more from their instrument. With its stunning style, easy-playing performance and flexible sound that matches any playing situation, this Tele was made to tear it up on stage or in the studio.

Featured on all American Elite instruments, the new 4th generation Noiseless pickups are only available in this series, and represent a quantum leap in pickup design. Combining authentic, vintage-style sound with effectively noise-free performance, these are the pinnacle of Fender’s noiseless pickup designs, generating sparkling cleans and fat, overdriven tones that scream with pure rock ‘n’ roll power.

Engineered for fast playing and effortless position changes, the compound profile neck with a 9.5”-14” compound radius fingerboard is ideal for all playing styles. A modern “C”-shape at the nut, the profile morphs along the length of the neck to a modern “D”-shaped profile at the updated neck heel, providing plenty of comfortable support for fret hand antics.

Locking, all short-post tuning machines provide increased break angle at the bone nut for buzz-free performance. The truss rod wheel is positioned at the butt end of the neck for easy accessibility when adjusting neck relief.

Fender is renowned for head-turning style, and this guitar is no different—from the refined ergonomic rear contour that hugs the player’s body to the black chrome headstock logo and large pearloid fret markers this instrument will dazzle the audience with elegant style. The American Elite Telecaster is a bold new addition to the Fender family tree, a top-notch performer that can handle whatever music you might you throw at it. Includes a redesigned OHSC Elite Molded Case with TSA locks to provide increased protection for your cherished instrument.
