I normally ride a pretty tame Ninja 650 (tops around 130) and on a group ride today swapped bikes and rode a R1 to 155mph or so and thought that was the thrill of my life. Hard to imagine a Mustang at 200mph! Guess I'm getting old.

Better man than me...100 is my limit on a motorcycle.

I wonder what they would charge for 15 minutes in that Shelby? :banana

Why exactly are they releasing a 2019 Mustang before a 2018 Mustang?

They know the ufo/ alien and Bigfoot disclosures will take away the attention of their launch if they wait.

Isn’t aero as important as horsepower after a certain point? Keeping the car from taking off or becoming a brick? The mustang certainly doesn’t look like a typical 200mph shape.

Absolutely aero plays a huge part, I own a '17 Mustang GT,I try to stay abreast of Mustang stuff. . A Mustang & a Shelby are two completely different animals. Body wise the Shelby has a different hood, front fenders, and most important a different rear wing and front fascia/splitter.
God forbid we start on the mechanical differences.

Don't know much about the way the auto industry works, do you?

Also, reading the article before commenting may help. It has not been released. These are specs that have been "leaked" and it may be debuted next month in Detroit.

I took my R1 to 165 and kept trying to find spots to take it to it's 180 mph supposed max speed but never could find a road smooth enough or without traffic :waiting It's funny they are making these cars and motorcycles so fast now a days but really, where do you have a place to really try them out? :huh

If I had the money for that car, I would have the money to rent Auto Club Speedway.

I used to love Mustangs.(adored our ‘94 Cobra)
But Ford lost me after they re-styled them a few years back. My wife and I rented one 5-6 years ago, and it was like sitting in a pit while driving; the hood line was too high.
And let’s not talk about how cheap and plastic-y the car felt inside.

It looks cool, but it will probably be priced about 80K. No thanks.
My S1000RR can clear a little over 190mph for ~15K. I will stick with it.

Did it? I want a bra for my little car. Too many little pebble dings.

O.K., a car that is covered completely in the front and looks pretty much like any recent Mustangs in the visible area is ugly.

If you don't like Mustangs why look? Thanks for the contribution.
