Gotta have a spoiler on the front and back to keep it on the ground.... I'm sure they got it set up ok. Still, it's not exactly aerodynamic like you say. I forget the formula but horsepower has to keep doubling to overcome the wind resistance. I had a Porsche at one time that felt like it was going to leave the ground at over 130

Well, if it was all about and only about Ford Mustangs, it would be a pretty boring thread  the motorcycles and other car comparisons adds a certain mind expansion dynamic that allows the thread to 'breath' and blossom

Nah usually it's the kid in the jacked up Accord with the racing stickers, ground kit big wing and 2 fart can muffler's.

I get them pulling up to me all the time.

I put them on ignore. And continue on my way.

Yes, and you could have found them at MSRP a year ago if you looked hard and were willing to hop a flight to pick it up.

The "R" is another matter though. I believe they are still tough to find at MSRP.

FWIW that hertz rent a racer is basically a GT with Performance Package option and special paint job.
Nothing really special or faster than a regular PP GT.

Also the 2018 refresh of the GT was considerably impressive performance wise.
New A10 transmission is a monster, and guys are doing stock 11.8 quarter mile times. On e85 tune, drag pack wheels/tires, people are hitting 11.3 @124 trap speed.
New Coyote is dynoing 420ish stock. E85 tunes pushing high 460's to the wheels. That's equivalent to the 5.2 Voodoo in the GT350.
In fact, the 2018 GT (with a10 and PP) is faster than the gt350 in a straight line.

I have a white 2017 Mustang GT 5.0 with far less emission control than they put on the factory released model and it's a weapon on the open FLAT road.

In the blink of an eye I'm doing 140mph fairly easy with no take off.
I haven't had it flat out but I'm confident I could get around 160 or 165.

IMHO the current shape is easily the best looking release.

All that power to go from one stoplight to the next! LoL! Still, no question, a powerful beast. The new Mustangs are quite powerful for the weight of the car. The 10 speed tranny is neat as well.

    I’m just the opposite.
Loved the Fox body and loved the reboot; wasn’t too fond of the 2nd redesign but the new one?
Ford hit it out of the park!!

That’s why it needs 8.46x10^14 horsepower.

For the most part yes. The rims are ugly for sure. Let me look at some pics again, one moment.

wassat? Foreskin should take care it?
    Sweeeeeet.

Bumped into the rpm limiter once racing a Camaro.
Informal thing, we both took off at a green light, I pulled ahead, banged 2nd and it kept pulling and pulling as I pulled away from the Camaro (probably an auto, could never find a manual Camero or Firebird around here) .....then WHAM....limiter kicked in....weird sensation.

Dude, you're a Mustang guy that clearly enjoys horsepower and you don't know what forscan is?

    sshhhh....

There's no safe place to go over 150.

I have a family to take care of, so the crazy ways of old are taking a break.
