I think a Boss DD7 is top of the heap for something simple that gets a huge variety of jobs done.

For when I need to make very weird things happen, I like the Eventide Rose a lot.

I love the TTE especially for the rockabilly slapback kind of stuff. Just can't seem to get my delay pedals to work nearly as well for that sort of thing.

No love for the Supro Delay? (I've got one incoming today and am still looking to justify my purchase!)

Bought one of these earlier in the year, these are now sadly out of production. It is incredibly cool sounding.

I still absolutely love my TTE but I've got a jones for weird delays now too. I'm having a ton of fun with a DBA Ghost Delay and a Bluff Chill Shagpile Deluxe. I still really want a DBA Echo Dream 2

    these just work for me....

I suppose I have a zoom G1four and a lexicon mx200, that have delay options....

    Then I'm runner-up? :-D
Really, the Vox delaylab does everything I need [and sounds great!] .:anon
It's a stripped down Korg SDD [and made by Korg] and if put in a single bypass loop the two biggest obstacles / short comings are rectified by being able to tap in tempos before activating the delay, and not affecting your dry tone.

I like the Tåken too but if I had to pick only one delay I'd still go with the Meet Maude.

Yeah, if Meet Maude didn't have that unholy jack layout I'd absolutely have sold my Polymoon for it. Too much of a pain to fit it on my board. Still, always tempting to try. Reverbs in the effects loop of a delay is one of my favorite sounds.

I just got a LunaStone Dynamic Delay and have been floored by it. Small footprint, tap tempo, buffered/true bypass, & based somewhat on the TC 2290. That thing is magic!
