2021 Charvel, Jackson and EVH announced

These are always the brands I keep an eye on each year, being a Fender fanboy but leaning towards the heavy rock/metal side of things.

The Robin's Egg Blue So-Cal caught my eye immediately as did the re-release of basses from Charvel.

Misha Mansoor's So-Cal is probably my favourite of the bunch, but no FR and that price!

The Special with roasted maple neck and QM at a reasonable price checks a lot of boxes for me.

I have no idea who this guy is (or didn't before I watched his video!), but I kinda dig this guitar. I'm not a fan of this relic'ing but the reverse headstock is kinda fun, you're one pickguard and wiring re-work to make it a really useful guitar.

Overall I still prefer the Adrian Smith Jackson Strathead to the lot of them. Still kicking myself for passing on a gold color'ed one when they first came out!

Ola Englund had this one YouTube the other day, and I really like it. I'm not even a Floyd Rose person but I want one!

Nothing from Charvel or EVH I can't really live without this year, though I really like the Denhage. The last couple of years have been great so it was time for a slow year. I really like the Camo Jackson though.

Unfortunately that's not new, release in late 2020. I say unfortunately as it was a limited run and sold out quickly. Yeah, you can pick one up on Reverb, but at a premium. Kind of kicking myself for not snagging one.

Other than the green meanie tribute there, not a fan of the color spectrum on this years models.

Perhaps you need something that stands out a bit more?

I have to agree with you though, I wasn't blown away by the offerings. Some nice guitars for sure, but none that I'll be putting a pre-order in for necessarily.
