Is the neck (and other) pup(s) in a different position relative to the body on a 22 fret neck? Seems like it would need to be further back (i.e. closer to the bridge).

Reason I'm wondering is I notice 12th fret harmonics don't come out too well on my 22 fret with the neck pup - the pup is right under the node. I'm thinking a 21 fretter might have the pup a little closer to the neck (so like, under D# instead of E) and allow that 12th fret harmonic to come through a little better.

Not a big deal, since there are other pups on the guitar, but I was just curious.

As far as I know there is just an overhang for the extra fret. The 12 fret should be in the same relative position.

Yep. I have both and the pickguards are the same. The 21 fret you can see the curve at the end of a the neck, in the pocket.

The 22 fretter just overhangs and the fingerboard has a more square end to the fingerboard to accept the extra fret.
