    Hi all,

I've had a couple of pre-Rola G12H-30's, T1234, 75Hz, 102-003 cones for awhile now. I want to load these into a 2x12 cabinet, but I'm not sure which one. I'll be running a JCM-800 2204 thru it, and hopefully a Komet Constellation in the new year (don't tell the wife though! :dude

    What do you guys recommend?

For safety sake you might also want to run an attenuator set on 3 dB for those speakers. The 2204 can easily exceed 80w on full chat, which would be marginal. With 3 dB attenuation, it won't sound quieter but it should limit maximum power to 40w.

With regards to the cab you need, you could consider all kinds of options depending on your needs. I run the same set of speakers myself (congrats!) plus I have the ultra rare 55hz 8 ohm model, now, too (just won it on eBay).

I put mine through my own 2x12 extension cab design with an adjustable back panel on a sliding lid hinge that allows you to "adjust" the amount of "open back" or closed back tone you want based on your tastes. Makes it really easy to EQ your amp, speakers, and tone to a room.

Email me if you need more info... and good luck on whatever decision you make!

For a more modern, tighter sound: bogner os.
For a resonant, vintage sound: mojotone bluesbreaker style 2x12

    You ain't kiddin'! Great suggestion.

I have a THD Hotplate that's always at -4dB, and I don't want to take chances with these.

Nice cab! I might like one of those in a basketweave grill. How much are you asking for them?

Thanks - I'm definitely after the more vintage style. I'll look into the Mojotone.

So, I've got 3 great suggestions:

    Scumbag
    THD
    Mojotone

    Any others I'm missing?

Thanks very much. All fixed up with your choice of gold or white piping with basketweave cloth: $450 unloaded.

Sounds like a fair price. I'd be interested in gold piping, black tolex, basketweave. :dude

I'll contact you when I get situated!

Another vote for the Mojotone (or like mine, a Germino). Avatar is worth a look...a bit tighter & punchier. large bang for the buck.
