Seriously. This is more overdrive pedals than most people have I'd imagine. I put a call for pedals out to here and Reddit. We got a few in from very nice people (who are thanked in the credits), but we just couldn't go out any buy every other additional pedal in the world.

There were however, a few pedals that I wanted to get in there and people were willing to send, but due to the mail/weather they didn't make it in time. Stuff happens :) Maybe next time. For now however, this is enough overdrive pedals to cause ear fatigue to anyone.

    The cardboard box sounded awesome!

What an amazing video, so many cool pedals. I am definitely going to be referencing this a lot.

So having actual "real time" with all of those pedals, could you list a top 5 favorites?

They all did rather well in our opinion, and we don't want to declare 'winners', because there weren't any winners or losers.

I've got a ~20 minute informal chat that we did right afterward that I'll be posting in a few days. Its from when our thoughts were most fresh.

For daily use Taylor and I both prefer to have a Tim and Klon on our boards. However, almost all of the pedals have their use in recording when you need different sounds. We are both very much looking forward to having new Klon pedals.

The Basic Audio Futureman shocked us quite a bit. Also rather liked the Wampler pedals personally. Taylor I think quite likes the Wave Cannon too.

The real thing is that the difference between the pedals isn't as big as some of us make them out to be on here. Any of them (but the DS-1, which was just in there for fun) are great pedals and would do the job if you only had one.

That's really hard to do, I do a lot of studio work so I have to sound different for a lot of varying music. There's even a place for the DS-1 in stuff I do...

That said, MY personal favs from fiddling around here were the Tim(s), Klon(S), Xotic AC/RC and the Caroline Wave Cannon.

I've also found that the Landgraff dual pedal was really useful in the studio.

Man I look awkward in the talking parts!

...I also ended up keeping that Basic Audio Futureman that was sent in...

I would like to thank you guys for your considerable effort, and I am really looking forward to seeing this and giving it my full and proper attention! (which means later - work is a nightmare these days... :( )

When I do, I will note a few comments solely based on what I am hearing (which might be influenced by my own experience with some of these). What would you say about creating a poll on which one we like best?

Thanks guys. I was pretty shocked by how similar many of them sounded to one another. The cream did rise to the top tho, imho.
Was it just me or does anyone think the new Klon sounds better than the original?

Thanks guys this was well done! It's tough to pull that off and it's a great baseline reference for a bunch of nice pedals.

Will the new klon be in a smaller enclosure?

I haven't seen the whole video yet, but wondering how they can sound so similar was the first thought that came into many people's minds when they saw this as well...
