Great guide with many tips for playing, not just for picking but other techniques as well.

Looking forward to reading the 3rd edition.

I pray I never sound like the guy in the clip. More notes did more to hurt him than help him.

I'm always suspicious of people asking for an email address when they could just put a link for a free download. That's why I asked about the author.

Being it a book written by a fellow TGPer makes me willing to give it a try.

Oh, I get it. I'm just a retired college professor, not an entrepreneur. In the kinda early days of the internet I used to run a website dedicated to extreme guitar but wife, grad school, kids, etc., led me in another direction. Anyways, I'm lucky that I was able to retire very early and, while I still write academic books for a professional audience, I have a lot more time to devote to my interest in avant garde post rock and metal stuff. I'm basically just looking to recreate my old community of like-minded misadventurers.

OP, are you with the Majesty in the videos available at the link?

If yes, are you familiar with the guy on the picture below by any chance? Are you sure there isn't any entity living inside your right hand?

What I want to know is if you are offering a 30-day warranty that I will be playing like the guy with the Majesty after one month, or I'll have my money back. ;)

It has a lot of wide ranging ideas in that anyone who wants to increase their velocity could use the items in the tome to do so whatever the genre of the music.

I enjoyed the clip actually. That guitar seems conducive to that kind of thing.
