Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a new amp that would sound as close as possible to the late 60's marshall plexis minus the earth shattering volume. Do you think that one would be a good choice?

Definitely. Unless you can afford the Metroplex. Last I checked there's a used Dream Plexi at the Amp House. I think it's $1350. I wish someone would buy it so I can stop thinking about it!

I played the Dreamweaver MK2. Liked the Fender type channel in Tweed mode a lot. The Plexi side was really usable as well, however the FX loop is not great and this is why I sent the amp back. However you are able to get abetter type of FX loop on these amps for an upcharge. Haven't tried these yet on the new 3rd Power amps. The Hybrid master works very well.

Hi, you said "usable". What do you exacly mean? How'd it sound comparing to a real plexi! (roughly, cause I'd have to buy it without trying).

It is close but has the advantage of adding additional gain, which is a very nice feature.

Holy geez, yes. As a VERY happy 3rd Power owner, I can't recommend this enough. Probably my next amp purchase, if not the Citizen Gain.
