I have (2) 4-12 cabinets that I am trying to figure out the value of.

The first one is a Road 4-12. It is by a company called Griffin Music.
It seems to be rather old. It is built like a road case. Does anyone have info on this cabinet or company?

Second is a 70's Tweed Marshall. It has Rola-Celestion G12H's in it. They are all matching T1281's. Date codes MF12, MF10. What would a cabinet like this sell for?

    Thanks for any help.

Looks like a 73/74 era cab. The date codes are on the speaker frames. Those will help date it IF they're original to the cab. Now you need to get the speaker cone code #'s as well.

This thread will help with that. http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67646

And here's a date code chart for the dating of the speakers.

    http://www.unclespot.com/celestion_date_codes.html

    1968 - 1991

    YEAR CODE MONTH CODE

    1968 A January A

    1969 B February B

    1970 C March C

    1971 D April D

    1972 E May E

    1973 F June F

    1974 G July G

    1975 H August H

    1976 J September J

    1977 K October K

    1978 L November L

    1979 M December M

    1980 N

    1981 P

    1982 Q

    1983 R

    1984 S

    1985 T

    1986 U

    1987 V

    1988 W

    1989 X

    1990 Y

    1991 Z/A

The date codes from 1968 to 1991 are written in the form: Month, Year, Day.

    For example: KH7 = 7th October 1975

    Speaker frames are stamped:
    MF10 = Dec, 10 1973.
    MF12 = Dec, 12 1973.

    So - it should be a 1973.

    They are T1281's 30 watts, 16 ohm, 55hrz.
I can not find a cone code. One has R1 C1 PB on it.

    Any idea of a value?

    Rick
