4x10 speaker cab..for my Z-28

    My brother is building me a 4x10 finer jointed pine cab w/birch baffle board...purty proud of it looks good so far...we just have the 'grill' left to do...here's a few pix of the build process ;^)

    how do you wire the cab for ohmage with three speakers? three 4 ohms in series or somehing fancier??

    been looking for a Z28 to demo. I hear they are nice amps...

    Those look really nice Zane! Your brother does nice work.

    Question: Do you know what radius or roundover bit your brother used for the edges. I'm building a cab myself and wondered what other people use.

    By the way, be sure to post a pic when the grillcloth is put on.

    This looks like a killer cab.

    I love the Jensen P-10R's ... they are the classic Bassman tone and a very smooth speaker.

    With a 12AX7 in the phase inverter slot of your Z-28 you will be right there in Tweed Bassman land with the volume set to about 11:00-1:00 and the tone controls at about 9:30 but below 10:00.

    my brother said the wood is 3/4" so you use a bit that's half of that...3/8 ;^)

    I used 3 16ohm speakers wired in parallel for a little over 4ohms run it thru the 4ohm jack ;^) that's the way the DR does the Maz "Super"

    Schweeet...was there any reason (for acoustics/sound) for the top front of the red cab. to go slightly over the cone area of the two top speakers?

    just decorative...I don't think it effects the tone much as it's an open back cab...
