I need a good 5-20 watt amp for apartment playing for the next two years. I'm just looking for suggestions of what to look into. So far I've looked into the Orange Tiny Terror and Fargen Miniplex. I like the Miniplex, or what I've heard of it,but its a little pricy. What else comes in that price range or cheaper that I should check out.

    Thanks

I have a Victoria champ + OCD pedal. If you get a used one you could get both for $800.00 or less. Covers all the sonic bases and in my opinion sounds so much better than a typical channel switching arrangement.

I have a Peavy royal 8 valve king, its damn cheap, $125 or so new a couple years ago, not a great tone amp, but it does have lots of distortion. Had an Epiphone Valve special which was 5 watts they make a standard which is 15 watts, $250 to $300 last I looked, really great tone amp, if your looking for distortion the Peavey VK would be a better choice.

Check out crates V8 and V16 amps they are pretty nice for the price.
