    Hi, everyone,

could please anyone who has got this guitar describe the sound? - acoustically without amp, considering similar strats with maple neck and ash body? warm, bright, transparent, loud, resonant, punchy...
i would love to buy this guitar because off all the specs (6105 frets, 9,5 radius, soft Vneck, ash body, 3 different custom shop pickups, nice heavy relic...), but there is no such a guitar near by so i could test it...
    thanks a lot

    Hi, Boris

    Welcome to TGP!

I'm afraid your question is impossible to answer. How one Strat sounds unplugged will likely be very different from the next one, even in the same model.

Also, we all hear things differently, so what someone else may like, you may not like at all.

If you're interested in the guitar and it's a nice relic, your only real choice is to go ahead and buy it. If it's a nice one you should have no trouble selling it if you don't like it.

    Good luck to you.

I have played quite a few and own one

they have quartersawn neck, and a decent amount of wood on the neck
all have sounded really good, the only stand out in tone say compared
to a regular 56 Time Machine, which has similar specs
is that they seem to ring out a little more on the top end and are quite
    full sounding

don't really want to say brighter, cuz they have a nice bottom end
the ash can seem a little snappier than an alder 56
but I did try several different pups in mine, which sounded brighter
    than in other guitars

if you are going with the stock pups
some like em, some hate em....I hated em, now I ..."understand" them

the neck is a CS69, mid is a Fat 50, and bridge is a Texas Special
like them better on an amp set with some gain, not so much clean

the neck is a little brighter then the mid, which seemed odd to me

think the pup selection is set more for people that "don't" play
the in between positions, although you do get good quack
    out of them

Long story short, I do not think you will be dissappointed
unless, you are not the type to change pups
and you don't like the combo that is in there
or if you are looking for a smaller neck, some of
these have necks that are a bit of a handful

but it is a top quality strat, with all the upgrades
    light weight ash
    thin skin finish
    quarter sawn neck
    modern radius
    bigger frets

    thanks a lot guys...

i think i will go for one in 2tone sunburst,
i do like full necks, but im not sure if this one will be similar to the EJ strat which ive got.
i supose full neck sounds anyway better than a thin one...
