A fellow TGP'er Iamhammill had been wanting a Vibro Champ Piggyback combo ever since he saw the first pics of my Red VC Piggyback. Anyway,he asked how he could have one made for himself. It just so happened my local amp guru who made mine had a '65 VC Chassis that he'd bought of E-bay. Anyway he made this very sweet Blonde Piggy back for Iamhammill. It's loaded with Weber 10" Alnico speakers. I got to play it before it got shipped and it was LOUD and very clean sounding. Iamhammill will post more pics later.

Holy crap that is nice!! I would love to have something like that for my Bronco. Do have any idea how much it would set me back to have that done?

I think it cost him somewhere between $900-1000. I'm not 100% sure, but somewhere around there.

    Now, that's just damn cool!

It would have been nice to see that one side-by-side with yours.

Yea, my amp guy brought it over so I could try it out and I didn't have the camera at home. He e-mailed me the pics while ago. I would have loved to have the amps in a pic side by side. By the way, the Blonde is a little wider than mine cause it's loaded with 2 10's instead of 2 8's like mine.

    These are incredible.

Is your amp guy offering to do these for anyone who want$ one?

Any website / contact info for your amp guy?

What are the dimensions of the 2x10 cabinet?

Again, those are really, really cool. How do they sound? :crazyguy

Yea he's willing do them for the right cash. He doesn't do this for a living, but he's a long time Fender hobbyist that really knows the Fender stuff inside and out. Each amp will be priced a little different depending on the speakers and such. If you're interested PM me and I'll give you his contact info.

I do have a question. One thing I like about my champ is it's small "attitude", know what I mean? You crank it up and it gets raunchy, like a scrapy little dog with a chip on it's shoulder. I would be worried that it will lose that attitude. Sorry for the dumb analogy.

It's still got the attitude! I had a really clean SF VC that I sold towards this and it has everything that had and a bit more.

For me, just a hair more volume was needed, so my Shannon Helios OD with the volume all the way up is perfect!

More pics for everyone once the sun comes out and it dries up a bit. Maybe tomorrow.

    These ARE cool amps!

Here's mine. I tried selling it here and no one really was too interested, but I'm really kind of glad and relieved because it sounds so sweet and takes my Emma, Bad Monkey and OD-3 so well.

Only thing that bugs me is that the rubber feet under the head reacted with the finish of the Bob Burt cab and left little dark circles :BITCH

For me, when it's blonde, it has to have the cream knobs, a brown face, and numbers on the face. I love the look of a "vintage correct" Fender Blonde or facsimile thereof, but this to me just looks... well... wrong.

grego7, that's a cool looking amp. The cream knobs are a great contrast with the black faceplate.

Yeah, that blonde/BF VC looks just as wrong as my '63 blonde/BF transitional Tremolux...

    Love it!

I just hate it when it looks wrong don't you? Here's a couple more black faces that prefer blondes both 1966 models. [IMG][IMG]
