Hi, i'm going back to my roots... my 1st amp was a 20 y/o beat up twin reverb and I miss it.

I curently have a Crate Vintage Club 50w 3x10 and a Fender Blues jr, both nice amps in their own right. I'd like to get a more creamy, less chimy tone with a nice bottom end, which I had with the twin reverb. I have no use for a drive channel but what I do want is great EQ control over a nice clean channel.

Now the hughes & kettner statesman quad el84 seemed nice too... But I somehow feel the need to get the twin for sentimental reasons and well, cuz it's a great amp...

So I'm looking for some input as to how the twin custom 15 VR differenciates from the 2x12 twin VR in terms of tone with that big ol' 15in speaker in there.

    thanks in advance
