The more I dig the more Im getting a bit confused.
STRs or GC ? Its for a Vibrolux, has room for the longer bottles.
Looking into Tungsols ,tried JJs before.

Musicians Friend sells Tung Sol 6l6STR with a option of soft, medium ,hard plate current for 'breakup'.
Where other online sellers just sell the tubes without this option..

    :dunno
For Fender Vibrolux I like headroom since any drive I would get from OD pedals.

TAD 6L6 tubes are the ones to get if you're after vintage tones. They spec two variations.

STR's ARE GCs. The actual tube number is 6L6GC. STR is an added designation to denote a "special" version.

In a Vibrolux, all 6L6's will give you the same headroom since the headroom is limited by the power supply which, in that amp, has limitations. In a Super Reverb or similar amp, GCs would give you more power/headroom than other suffixes.

TAD 6L6WGCs are what I'd recommend.
